Rev. Jay Gamble, Founding Pastor
Ministry and business visionary, entrepreneurial trailblazer, Reverend Jay Gamble serves as the Founding Pastor of Life Change A.M.E. Church located in Columbia, Maryland. His three-tiered approach—spiritual, practical and attitudinal has transformed ordinary people into extraordinarily successful leaders in ministry and business.
Rev. Jay Gamble is the husband of his partner in ministry, Reverend Melanie Gamble, and the proud father of three Kingdom Purpose sons. Rev. Gamble credits his Father, the late Julius Sr. and his mother Ruth, for his own work ethic and self-reliance.
Rev. Gamble is an alumnus of Bowie State University where he earned his Bachelor of Science degree. In addition, he earned a Master of Science in Information Technology from The American University and completed the Master of Divinity Program at Howard University. Rev. Gamble is a proud member of the Omega Psi Phi, Fraternity, Inc.
Called to serve in both secular and ministry environments, Rev. Gamble serves as Senior Project Manager for the Department of Homeland Security (DHS). In his current role, Rev. Gamble is responsible for an Information Technology portfolio in excess of $100 million dollars. Reverend Gamble is also co-owner of 212 Degrees Realty, having offices in Upper Marlboro, Maryland, Columbia Maryland and Northern Virginia. 212 Degrees Realty is a leading minority owned business with 2013 revenues above 10 million dollars and 10 employees.
In ministry, Rev. Gamble serves as the Founding Pastor of Life Change A.M.E. Church in Columbia, Maryland. Life Change is a growing church that incorporates creativity in ministry, technology, preaching and worship. Life Change Church serves the community providing meals, clothing and job training. Rev. Gamble attributes his success to the training he received under his mentors Pastor Harold B. Hayes, Jr., and Rev. Kellie V. Hayes, Assistant Pastor of Hunter Memorial African Methodist Episcopal Church located in Suitland, Maryland.
